Hi this is silas from fat and frantic.

i was doing a google search and came across this website, so i thought I would oblige and give you a bit of an update on us all.

Last Night (Saturday December 1st 2007) fat, myself, jim and Nige all appeared in Bristol as part of a band called REV SOFTLY. Ever since we finished playing as FAF we have continued to play under the name REV SOFTLY. We rarely play any FAF songs because Rev Softly is basically all about Rock'n'roll. We play beatles, Elvis and Buddy Holly covers. It is an excuse for us to get together and keep up the friendship we have shared for over 20 years now. For those of you who remember lying on your backs during "werewolf" if you attended a Revs gig you would find yourself in the same position in the middle of "Suspicious Minds". The Revs now get together 2/3 times a year. Fat is a vicar in Exeter, Silas pastors a church in Hotwells, Bristol, (where teh gig was) Jim is in the middle of a Phd in history of Art in London, Tuffie is a music writer/producer, Simon is a carpenter and Nige is a musician/children/worship leader.

For us all FAF was a most wonderful experience. Our deep friendships were forged over those experiences that we shared during our time on the road with the band. We will always be grateful to all those who made that journey with us. Thank You. Rev Softly gigs invariably close with our own rendition of the Woody Guthrie classic "Jesus Christ". The chords are the same as "Brian"!! We are older, we have less hair, but we still sweat bucketloads when we perform and we love the Lord more than ever.

Love Silas

Hi

Was googling FAF and found your delightful site which took me back a bit. Attached is an unreleased track from 91 – I recently found it on an old cassette (so it’s a bit muffled). If you’d like to use it on your site, that would be fine; likewise if you don’t!

All the best

Fat
